Features & Benefits
Commercial heat pump technology, intelligent moisture control and practical operator-focused design support efficient everyday drying.
20 kg load capacity
A 360-litre drum handles substantial commercial loads.
The large drum provides room for laundry movement and suits demanding on-premises operations.
Heat pump technology
Up to 62.5% energy saving compared with conventional technology.
Heat is recovered within the drying process, reducing energy demand during normal operation.
No external exhaust duct
Heat pump drying avoids conventional external dryer ducting.
This can help where a suitable external exhaust route is unavailable or impractical.
Moisture Balance
Automatic programmes monitor the selected dryness level.
The cycle stops when the required result is achieved, avoiding unnecessary continued drying.
Reversing drum
Regular direction changes support even drying performance.
Reversing helps reduce tangling and improves airflow through larger laundry loads.
Compass Pro controls
Clear programme selection with automatic and timed cycles.
Operators can select dryness-controlled, timed, airing and textile-specific programmes.
Accessible lint filter
The horizontal filter drawer is positioned for straightforward access.
Easy daily cleaning helps maintain airflow, drying performance and energy efficiency.
Large door opening
A 580 mm opening supports easier loading and unloading.
The generous opening is particularly useful when handling sheets and other bulky laundry.
Reference drying performance
44-minute reference cycle at a 16.4 kg test load.
The manufacturer figure is based on cotton at 50% initial moisture dried to 0%.
Flexible electrical options
Available for suitable 230v or 400v electrical supplies.
The correct PNC must be selected to match the site supply and required configuration.
Optional Drum Speed Control
Adjusts drum movement for the laundry being processed.
DSC can support suitable movement and drying of different garment and textile types.
Optional connectivity
OnE Laundry monitoring is available as an option.
Compatible installations can monitor equipment performance and operating information remotely.

Choosing the right machine
Is the Electrolux Professional TD6-20HP Heat Pump Dryer the right model for me?
The TD6-20HP is designed for commercial sites needing a 20 kg dryer with lower energy consumption and no conventional external exhaust duct.
Its electrical demand, condensate drainage, room ventilation and drying throughput should be checked against your laundry operation before ordering.
What should I check before purchasing this machine?
This model is a strong option where energy use and the absence of external exhaust ducting are important. A vented dryer may offer a different throughput profile where suitable ducting and make-up air are available.
Before purchasing this machine, it is worth checking:
- Load size and daily volume: confirm that the 20 kg capacity and heat pump cycle profile match your washers and workload.
- Electrical supply: choose the correct 230v or 400v PNC for the available site supply.
- Condensate drainage: provide a suitable waste connection for the water removed during drying.
- Room ventilation: ensure the laundry room can manage the machine’s heat emission.
- Washer extraction: laundry entering the dryer must have no more than 50% residual moisture.
- Space and access: check machine dimensions, delivery access, door clearance and maintenance space.
Services, drainage and cycle times
The TD6-20HP does not require conventional external exhaust ducting, but it does require a condensate drain, suitable electrical supply and adequate room ventilation.
The published 44-minute drying time and 2.99 kWh consumption are reference figures based on a 16.4 kg cotton load at 50% initial moisture, dried to 0%. Actual results vary with load, fabric, selected programme and residual moisture.
- 230v version: rated at 5.5 kW with a recommended 25A protective rating.
- 400v version: rated at 6.2 kW with a recommended 10A protective rating.
- 400v DSC version: rated at 6.5 kW with a recommended 13A protective rating.
- Operating temperature: the machine is designed for ambient temperatures between +10°C and +45°C.
- Filter care: lint filters must be cleaned at the intervals specified in the operating instructions.
Replacing an older model?
The TD6-20HP may suit replacement of another medium-capacity commercial dryer where its footprint, electrical supply, drainage and throughput are appropriate.
Important replacement checks include:
- Machine dimensions: confirm the 790 × 1202 × 1770 mm footprint and all access clearances.
- Electrical arrangement: do not assume the existing dryer supply matches the selected TD6-20HP PNC.
- Drainage: heat pump drying requires a condensate drain even though external exhaust ducting is unnecessary.
- Throughput: compare practical drying times with the existing machine and daily workload.
- Delivery access: check doorways, corridors, steps and lifting requirements for the 308 kg machine.
A site survey is recommended before removing the existing appliance or ordering the replacement machine.
Compliance, hygiene and environment
The TD6-20HP is manufactured for commercial and industrial use. Correct installation, programme selection, routine cleaning and planned maintenance remain essential.
Drying results and hygiene outcomes depend on the complete laundry process, including washing, temperature control, detergent, segregation, staff procedures and safe handling.
- Heat pump refrigerant circuit: maintenance and repair must be completed by appropriately qualified personnel.
- Lint management: filters and the surrounding area must be kept clean to maintain safe airflow.
- Safe textile selection: do not dry items prohibited by the operating instructions.
- Room environment: account for the dryer and all other sources of heat when assessing ventilation.
- End-of-cycle handling: allow the cooling stage to finish and remove laundry promptly when complete.
