Product Overview

The Classeq CP500 is a 500 x 500mm pass-through commercial dishwasher for busy kitchens, catering sites, pubs, restaurants and hospitality environments that need simple operation and reliable daily throughput.

This is the standard non-water-softener version. It can process up to 40 racks per hour, with dishwasher programmes of 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 minutes, and it can be commissioned on installation as either a dishwasher or glasswasher depending on the site requirement.

For most hard-water areas, a&f recommends pairing this version with an automatic external water softener. We can supply and install the correct softener alongside the machine, helping protect wash quality, reduce limescale and support long-term reliability.

Choosing the right machine

Is the Classeq CP500 the right model for me?

The Classeq CP500 is a strong choice where a site needs a simple, robust pass-through dishwasher with 500 x 500mm baskets, straightforward controls and practical throughput for busy service periods.

This page covers the standard non-water-softener version. In most hard-water areas, a&f recommends using it with an automatic external water softener, which we can supply and install alongside the machine.

When is this machine a good fit?

The CP500 is a good fit for commercial kitchens where an undercounter machine is not enough and staff need a faster pass-through workflow.

  • Suitable for restaurants, pubs, hotels, catering kitchens and similar commercial dishwashing areas.
  • Useful where 500 x 500mm baskets and up to 40 racks per hour are the right throughput level.
  • Suitable where the site wants simple hood operation and clear staff guidance from the display.
  • Useful where tabling can be planned for a straight-through or corner setup.
  • Can be commissioned as a dishwasher or glasswasher depending on the site requirement.
What should I check before choosing this version?

The main checks are water hardness, power supply, drainage, tabling layout, chemical dosing and the expected number of racks at peak times.

  • This is the non-water-softener version, so water treatment should be checked before ordering.
  • In hard-water areas, an automatic external water softener is normally recommended.
  • Confirm whether the site has 230v 30A, 400v 16A or 400v 22A available.
  • Check drain route, drain height and access for installation and future servicing.
  • Confirm whether the machine should be set up primarily for plates, glasses, utensils or mixed use.
When might another model be better?

Another model may be better if your site needs an integral water softener, steam recovery, lower throughput or a different dishwashing process.

  • Choose the CP500WS if you specifically want Classeq’s integral water softener version.
  • Consider the CP500 SR if steam reduction and improved kitchen comfort are important.
  • Consider an undercounter C500 if space, budget or daily throughput does not justify a pass-through machine.
  • Consider a different dishwasher type if you need specialist hygiene functions beyond a high-temperature final rinse.
  • Ask a&f to check the site if you are unsure whether pass-through or undercounter is the right format.
Services, utilities and installation checks

A pass-through dishwasher depends on the right services and kitchen layout. The machine itself is only part of the decision.

  • Power options: 230v 30A, 400v 16A or 400v 22A, depending on version.
  • Water supply: 3/4 inch connection, 2.0 bar pressure and 4 litres per minute flow rate required.
  • Drainage: Ø40mm drain size with floor level to 700mm drain height.
  • Water treatment: external automatic softener recommended in hard-water areas.
  • Layout: allow for hood opening height, tabling, basket flow and staff access.
Replacing an older model?

The CP500 is likely to be relevant when replacing older Classeq pass-through dishwashers, including P500A, P500DUO and older P500-style machines. The correct replacement should still be checked against services, tabling, dimensions and water treatment.

Previous and related search terms: Classeq P500A, Classeq P500DUO, Classeq P500, CP500, CP500WS, pass-through dishwasher, hood dishwasher.

Where the existing machine has an integral softener, steam recovery, special tabling or a different power supply, a&f should confirm the most suitable replacement before quoting.

Compliance, hygiene and environment

The CP500 has a high-temperature final rinse to support hygienic commercial dishwashing, but it should not be described as a guaranteed thermal disinfection machine. Hygiene depends on the full process, including pre-scraping, correct chemicals, water quality, temperature, staff routine and storage.

  • WRAS compliant Type AB air gap is listed for the range.
  • Temperature interlock is included.
  • Dishwasher rinse temperature is listed as 82°C, with 85°C on the utensil programme.
  • External softening can help protect rinse quality and reduce limescale in hard-water areas.
  • a&f can assess the full dishwashing process where hygiene, compliance or staff routine is a concern.
