Product Overview
The Miele PFD 103 SCi XXL is a 14 place setting semi-integrated ProfiLine dishwasher with a fresh-water system, built for offices, staff kitchens, busy private homes, guesthouses, small businesses and sports clubs.
It gives a familiar integrated dishwasher format with more professional durability, a larger XXL wash cabinet, flexible baskets and a shortest programme from 20 minutes where the water temperature and 230v, 32A power supply support it. Real cycle times vary by selected programme, incoming water temperature and site services.
This model can also be converted to 230v, 13A by Miele Customer Service where a 32A supply is not available. That reduces heater power and can lengthen cycle times, so a&f will check the site services before confirming the right setup.

Features & Benefits
A practical overview of the features that matter most in daily use, including capacity, hygiene support, drying, basket flexibility, service life, water treatment and site service considerations.
14 place settings
Larger capacity in a familiar dishwasher format
Useful for offices, staff kitchens, busy private homes and small commercial sites that regularly process more crockery than a domestic machine can comfortably handle.
Fresh-water system
Fresh water used through the wash process
Repeated water changes help maintain cleaning quality and hygiene consistency, especially where the dishwasher is used several times per day.
Short programme
Shortest programme from 20 minutes
Helps keep crockery moving in light commercial and shared kitchen settings. Actual cycle times depend on the programme, incoming water temperature and power supply.
Hygiene support
Hygiene programme and 82°C final rinse
Supports more controlled dishwashing routines where staff confidence, high-temperature rinsing and consistent results are important.
XXL cabinet
Extra internal height for larger items
The XXL format gives more useful wash cabinet space than a standard domestic-size dishwasher, helping with taller plates, cups and mixed daily loads.
3D MultiFlex tray
Flexible top tray for cutlery and small items
Makes better use of the available space and helps staff load small items more efficiently without compromising the lower baskets.
FlexLine baskets
Adjustable loading for mixed crockery
Flexible basket design helps the machine cope with cups, glasses, plates and mixed items commonly found in staff kitchens and shared facilities.
Drying support
AutoOpen assisted drying
The door opens automatically at the end of the programme to support better drying and make unloading easier for staff and users.
Water softener
Integrated softener for limescale control
Helps protect wash performance in hard water areas when set and maintained correctly, reducing the risk of poor results from limescale.
Professional durability
Tested to 12,500 cycles by Miele
Miele’s laboratory test figure supports confidence in professional use, although actual service life depends on use, maintenance and site conditions.
Miele MOVE
Network-enabled for digital management
Supports Miele MOVE where configured, helping with machine status, notifications and operating visibility for compatible Miele Professional equipment.
Flexible services
230v, 32A with 13A conversion option
The standard 32A setup gives stronger heating performance. A 13A conversion may be possible, but can lengthen wash times and should be checked before ordering.

Choosing the right machine
Is the Miele PFD 103 SCi XXL the right model for your site?
The Miele PFD 103 SCi XXL is a strong fit where a site needs a semi-integrated professional dishwasher with more capacity, durability and hygiene support than a domestic dishwasher, but does not need the very fast throughput of a commercial tank dishwasher.
It is particularly suited to offices, staff kitchens, private residences, schools, sports clubs, small businesses and guesthouses where a fitted kitchen appearance is important and the daily dishwashing load is moderate rather than heavy catering use.
When is this dishwasher a good fit?
This model is a good fit where you want a professional dishwasher that fits into an integrated kitchen design while giving stronger daily performance than a normal household appliance.
It is especially worth considering where:
- You need 14 place settings in a semi-integrated machine.
- The site has an office, staff kitchen, utility room or shared kitchen.
- You want a fresh-water dishwasher rather than a tank dishwasher.
- You need hygiene support from a high-temperature final rinse and Hygiene programme.
- You want the machine hidden behind a matching furniture front, apart from the fascia panel.
It is best used where crockery loads are regular but not continuous. For a high-volume catering kitchen, a faster commercial tank dishwasher may be the better route.

What should I check before choosing this model?
The main checks are the available power supply, water supply temperature, water hardness, drainage route, furniture front, niche size and the real volume of crockery being processed each day.
Before choosing this machine, check:
- Power supply, because the standard version is 230v, 32A.
- Whether the site needs the 13A conversion option, which reduces heating power and can lengthen cycle times.
- Water hardness, because the integrated softener must be set and maintained correctly.
- Drainage route, because this model uses a DN22 drain pump with a maximum head height of 100 cm.
- Furniture panel size and weight, because the front panel must suit the Miele limits.
a&f can check these details during a site survey and confirm whether the 32A setup, 13A conversion or a different dishwasher is the best match for the site.
When might another model be better?
Another model may be better if the site needs very fast turnaround, open commercial kitchen throughput, a freestanding machine, or a more specialist hygiene dishwasher.
Consider an alternative where:
- You need 1 to 3 minute cycles for a busy kitchen or bar area.
- The site needs a freestanding dishwasher rather than a semi-integrated model.
- The dishwasher will run continuously through service periods.
- You need a healthcare or care-focused hygiene dishwasher with a more specialist programme set.
- The 13A conversion would make the cycle times too slow for the daily workload.
In those cases, a&f may compare this model with a PFD 101, PFD 404 Hygiene, PFD 400/401 or a PTD tank dishwasher, depending on the site and workload.
Services, utilities and installation checks
The standard electrical supply for this version is 230v, 32A with a 6.3 kW total connected load. It can be converted to 230v, 13A by Miele Customer Service, but the heater rating drops significantly, which can affect heat-up performance and real cycle times.
Key service checks include:
- 230v, 32A supply if the site wants the best cycle-time performance.
- Hot water availability if the customer expects shorter advertised cycle times.
- Cold or hot water connection, with required flow pressure between 1 and 10 bar.
- DN22 drain pump connection, with maximum pump head height of 100 cm from floor level.
- Correct softener setup and salt routine in hard water areas.
All advertised cycle times should be treated as service-dependent. Real wash times vary by selected programme, incoming water temperature, water pressure, power connection and the site’s installation conditions.
Replacing an older model?
The current a&f historic model source lists the PFD 101, PFD 101i, PFD 101u, PFD 103 and PFD 104 family against the older models PG8130, G8050Office and G7750.
Relevant historic search terms: PG8130, G8050Office, G7750.
When replacing an older integrated or semi-integrated dishwasher, a&f should check the niche size, water and drainage position, electrical supply, front panel arrangement and whether the site’s expected cycle speed still matches a fresh-water ProfiLine dishwasher.
Compliance, hygiene and environment
The PFD 103 SCi XXL uses a fresh-water system and includes a Hygiene programme, with a maximum final rinse temperature of 82°C. It also carries relevant standards and approvals including EN 1717 and Regulation 4 compliance.
Hygiene performance depends on the full process, including machine selection, programme choice, loading, detergent, water quality, staff procedure, routine cleaning and site handling. The machine supports hygienic dishwashing, but it should not be treated as a complete compliance process on its own.
For care, healthcare or higher-risk environments, a&f can advise whether this ProfiLine model is sufficient or whether a more specialist hygiene dishwasher should be considered.
