Product Overview
The Miele PRI 210 [EL STW AB] is a professional electrically heated rotary ironer with a 210 mm roller diameter and 1000 mm working width, built for sites that need consistent linen finishing in a compact, wall-positionable design.
It is available in two electrical variants: a 400v, 16A three-phase version with a maximum ironing performance of up to 30.0 kg/h, and a 230v, 16A single-phase version with a maximum ironing performance of up to 23.5 kg/h. Both figures are based on 15% residual moisture, with actual output depending on linen type, residual moisture, operator experience and site conditions.
The PRI 210 is well suited to care homes, hotels, hospitality sites, launderettes, residential facilities, private estates and other environments where flatwork such as sheets, pillowcases, table linen and similar items need a neat, professional finish without moving up to a larger industrial ironer.

Choosing the right machine
Is the Miele PRI 210 [EL STW AB] the right model for me?
The Miele PRI 210 [EL STW AB] is a compact professional rotary ironer for sites that need a consistent finish on flatwork such as sheets, pillowcases, table linen and similar items. It is most suitable where the laundry volume justifies a rotary ironer, but where space, staffing or linen volume do not require a larger industrial model.
The main choice is between the 230v, 16A single-phase version and the 400v, 16A three-phase version. The 400v model gives the higher stated ironing performance, while the 230v model may be useful where three-phase power is not available.
When is this ironer a good fit?
The PRI 210 is a good fit where a site needs a professional finish for regular flatwork, but does not need the size or output of a larger commercial laundry ironer.
- Suitable for care homes, hotels, hospitality sites, launderettes, residential facilities and private estates.
- Useful where linen presentation matters, but hand ironing is too slow or inconsistent.
- Best suited to flatwork such as sheets, pillowcases, table linen and similar items.
- Suitable where front feed and return helps staff operate in a compact laundry room.
- Can be positioned against a wall, helping make better use of available space.
What should I check before choosing this model?
The main checks are linen type, expected throughput, available space, staff training and electrical supply. A rotary ironer is very effective for suitable flatwork, but it is not the right solution for every laundry process.
- Confirm that the 1000 mm working width is suitable for the linen being processed.
- Check whether the site has 230v single-phase or 400v three-phase power available.
- Allow safe working space in front of the machine for feeding and receiving linen.
- Consider whether staff will need training on feeding technique, temperature setting and safe operation.
- Check that laundry is prepared correctly before ironing, including suitable residual moisture and folding or handling routines.
When might another model be better?
A different model may be better where the site processes larger linen, higher daily volumes or needs a wider working width. The PRI 210 is a compact professional rotary ironer, not the highest-output option in the Miele ironer range.
- Consider a wider ironer if the site processes larger sheets, wide table linen or higher volumes of flatwork.
- Consider the 400v version rather than the 230v version where higher throughput is important and three-phase power is available.
- Consider a different finishing solution if the main workload is garments, shaped items or items that are not suited to rotary ironing.
- Review the full laundry flow if washing and drying output is much higher than this ironer can comfortably finish.
Services, utilities and installation checks
The PRI 210 is electrically heated and is available in two power versions. Selecting the correct version at quotation stage is important because the material number, connected load and stated performance differ between the 230v and 400v models.
- 230v, 16A version: material number 11741270, total connected load 3.40 kW.
- 400v, 16A version: material number 11741260, total connected load 5.00 kW.
- External dimensions: 1032(h) x 1579(w) x 476(d) mm.
- Net weight: 122 kg.
- Working width: 1000 mm, roller diameter: 210 mm.
- Installation should allow safe staff access, correct positioning and future servicing.
Replacing an older model?
If the PRI 210 is being considered as a replacement for an older rotary ironer, the key checks are working width, power supply, available space, operator routine and whether the site needs the higher-output 400v version.
The current a&f historic model source does not list a direct previous-version mapping for the PRI 210. It does list older compact and small-format Miele ironer references against related current ironer ranges, including PRI120, HM21-100, CM900/902 and CM870/872. These should be treated as search and comparison terms, not confirmed direct replacements for the PRI 210.
Related older Miele ironer search terms to check when reviewing a replacement: PRI120, HM21-100, CM900/902, CM870/872. Direct PRI 210 historic mapping should be confirmed before publishing if a precise previous-version claim is needed.
Compliance, safety and environment
The PRI 210 includes safety and operating features intended to support professional use, but staff training and correct working practice remain important. Operators should understand safe feeding, finger guard function, temperature selection and routine care.
- Automatic finger guard and incorrect feed recognition are listed features.
- FlexControl footswitch supports practical operation while handling linen.
- The clean and wax heater plate indicator supports routine care of the heater plate.
- The datasheet lists CE, UKCA, VDE, VDE-EMC and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC compliance.
- For care, hospitality or healthcare-related sites, the ironing process should be considered as part of the wider laundry handling and hygiene procedure.
