Technical specifications
Key specifications for the 1,000 mm Electrolux Professional IB62310. Confirm the required electrical version and optional equipment before ordering.
Choosing the right machine
Is the Electrolux Professional IB62310 Commercial Rotary Iron the right model for me?
The IB62310 is designed for smaller commercial flatwork and provides a compact 1,000 mm working width.
Before ordering, check the largest linen items you need to process, their residual moisture level, available power and the working space around the machine.
What should I check before purchasing this machine?
The 1,000 mm working width must suit the dimensions of your regular flatwork. The machine is intended for previously washed, pre-dried and machine-ironable textiles.
Before purchasing this machine, it is worth checking:
- Linen dimensions: confirm that your regular items can be processed effectively across the 1,000 mm working width.
- Residual moisture: linen must be suitably pre-dried before entering the ironer.
- Daily workload: assess the quantity of flatwork and the throughput needed during busy periods.
- Electrical supply: choose the correct 230v single-phase or 400v three-phase version.
- Working space: allow adequate room for feeding, collecting, servicing and safe operator movement.
- Optional equipment: consider variable speed or the superior cylinder package before ordering.
Services, drainage and cycle times
The IB62310 is electrically heated and requires no water, gas, steam or drainage connection. The selected electrical supply must match the ordered version and its data plate.
Processing time depends on the fabric, item size, residual moisture, selected temperature and ironing speed. The standard speed is 3.4 m/min, with an optional variable-speed range of 1 to 4 m/min.
- 230v single-phase: 5.2 kW total load, 23.2A rated current and 35A protection.
- 400v three-phase: 5.2 kW total load, with the 400v 3N version requiring 10A protection.
- Electrical connection: arrange a suitable hardwired isolator and installation by qualified personnel.
- Ventilation: install the machine in a suitably ventilated working area.
- Working access: allow at least 100 mm behind and suitable side access for operation and servicing.
Replacing an older model?
The IB62310 may suit replacement of an existing compact return-feed or bed-type rotary iron where a 1,000 mm working width meets the site’s linen requirements.
Important replacement checks include:
- Working width: compare the existing ironer with the IB62310’s 1,000 mm capacity.
- Overall dimensions: check the 1395 W × 510 D × 1025 H mm footprint and delivery route.
- Electrical supply: confirm voltage, phase, connected load, protection and isolation requirements.
- Linen preparation: confirm that the existing washing and drying process provides suitably pre-dried flatwork.
- Working clearances: retain sufficient space for the operator, linen handling and future servicing.
Do not assume that the existing electrical connection will suit the new machine. A site survey is recommended before removal or installation is arranged.
Compliance, hygiene and environment
The machine should be installed, commissioned, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable workplace safety requirements.
Heated ironing can form part of a controlled linen-finishing process, but the ironer alone should not be treated as guaranteeing a validated thermal-disinfection outcome.
- Operator training: staff should understand safe feeding, temperature selection and use of the control pedal.
- Finger guard: never bypass or obstruct the machine’s fitted safety protection.
- Textile suitability: process only washed, pre-dried textiles approved for machine ironing.
- Hygiene procedures: maintain appropriate segregation, handling and documented site processes where required.
- Maintenance: inspect the padding, felt, stripper and safety devices at suitable intervals.
- End of life: use an appropriate commercial recycling route rather than general waste.
